Aluminium Effect Pigments for Water-based Coatings and inks: EMERAL®
Outline
Untreated aluminium pigment reacts with water and generates gas. In order to prevent such reaction it is necessary to encapsulate each particulate of aluminium pigment. Thanks to the patented silica coating technology onto aluminium flakes, EMERAL® grades offer excellent gassing stability in water-based coatings and inks.
In addition to silica encapsulation Toyal offers other surface treatment alternatives depending on market/customer requirements.
